“Growing up, the tastiest meals my grandparents cooked where always the simplest. I can’t deny how that same simplicity parallels with my art. Something as simple as a pencil can produce some of the most beautiful works. I started letting my eyes take in the color, the shapes. I started to see things differently; the planes of a person’s face for instance. Once you have those simple, classic cornerstones, you start to become playful with it. I started taking these simple fundamental things and pushing and playing with them. BH Originals captures the fine art that’s all around us everyday.” —B Hartigan
